American Sniper – Release Date: January 16th 2015

This film is based on true events of the life of US Navy Seal Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper), who became one of the most accurate snipers in US history. Cooper served a remarkable four tours in Iraq and through his expert sniper skills saved countless lives. As his reputation grew through the troops, so did the bounty on his head by insurgents throughout the Middle East. As if the war was not difficult enough, coming home to his wife and children would prove even more difficult, as Kyle tries to put the war behind him and move on with his life. American Sniper is sure to be one of the top action films this year.

Baby – Release Date: January 23rd 2015

After the deadly terror attack of 2008 in Mumbai, the government puts together an elite group of top agents to fight international terrorism. The team is led by top agent Feroz Khan (Danny Dezangpa), who must work fast to pull this team together to track the most dangerous terrorists in the world. The team is commissioned to rescue an Indian agent that was captured in Turkey. During the rescue, they learn of a much larger terror plot to set off a bomb in downtown Delhi. Fighting against time, the agents must work together to determine not just who is making the threat but how to stop it before hundreds of innocent lives are taken.

Kingsman: The Secret Service – Release Date: February 13th 2015

This film is based on the popular comic book series, The Secret Service and is said to be one of the best 2015 action movies. A street kid named Eggsy (Taron Egerton) is recruited by a secret spy agency after being arrested for stealing a car. It turns out that Eggsy’s father was a member of the same spy organization, but was killed in the line of duty when Eggsy was a small child. Eggsy must now undergo a rigorous training program in the midst of an international technology terror threat. Will Eggsy find the strength inside of himself that he didn’t even know he had, as he comes to terms with his past?

Chappie – Release Date: March 6th 2015

This film is set somewhere in the near future, where police officers have all been replaced by a strong robotic force. Governmental leaders have programmed these police droids to act exactly how they want them to and to deal with the people without any feelings. However, when one of the police robots, named Chappie (Sharlto Copley), is kidnapped things begin to change. During its captivity, Chappie has been reprogrammed and now has the ability to think and feel emotions just like humans. At the same time, the people are starting to rise up against the unfeeling and uncaring mechanical force. Will Chappie’s newfound abilities be enough to save the country from disaster?

Run All Night – Release Date: March 13th 2015

Declared as a top action film of 2015, Run All Night will force one father to choose between his loyalty to the mob and his love for his son. Jimmy Colon (Liam Nelson) is a well-known hitman for the mob group managed by mob leader Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris). In the heat of the moment, Jimmy shoots and kills Shawn’s son. In an effort to seek vengeance for his son’s death, Shawn vows to seek out and kill Jimmy’s estranged son, Mike (Joel Kinnaman). Will Jimmy reach Mike in time and will Mike accept help from a father he doesn’t trust?

Furious 7 – Release Date: April 3rd 2015

The crew is back together in this seventh installment of the Fast and Furious series of films, which could possibly be the final chapter. The group, including Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker), has been offer amnesty and they come home to the United States with hopes of living a normal life again. However, trouble starts to brew when Owen’s brother, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) decides to take things into his own hands and seek out revenge for his comatose brother. Shaw specifically targets Toretto. The deadly threat brings the group back together, but only time will tell if they can protect Toretto from the wrath of an angry brother.

Slow West – Release Date: May 15th 2015

This film is set in the late 19th century, as Scottish native, Jay Cavendish (Kodi Smit-McPhee) sails to American to hunt for the love of his life, a woman named Rose Ross (Caren Pistrorius). His journey sends him into the western frontier, where he comes across both Pioneers and Native Americans. When Jay is confronted by a group of dangerous men, a helpful bounty hunter, Silas Selleck (Michael Fassbender) jumps in to save the day. The two form a friendship and Jay pays him to serve as both his protector and travel guide. The two men face numerous dangerous situations in Jay’s quest for true love.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. – Release Date: August 14th 2015

Based on the hit TV show from the 1960s with the same name, this new action film is set during the peak of the Cold War. With tensions high between the Soviet Union and the United States, a mysterious terror group is threatening to destroy any sense of trust built between the two nations. As the threat from this dangerous group puts the world in jeopardy, Russian agent Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) and American agent Solo (Henry Cavill) must put their distrust for each other aside and work together to bring down this group. Will they save the world and strengthen relations between the two nations or will these deadly thing unravel everything?

Black Mass – Release Date: September 18th 2015

Following the real life story of notorious James “Whitey” Bulger (Johhny Depp),Black Mass details the unpredictable twists and turns that turned Bulger into one of the most powerful mob bosses of all times. FBI agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) contacts Whitey through his brother Bill (Benedict Cumberbatch), who is a state congressman, and persuades him to help the government takedown the local Italian gang. Whitey soon realizes that eliminating his main competition may be not be a bad idea. He uses his new founded power to create one of the largest and most powerful mob organizations in the history of the country.

Sicario – Released: September 18th 2015

This film delves into the dark world of illegal drug smuggling between the United States and Mexico. FBI agent, Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) is recruited into an elite group of agents that are assigned to fight the intense war on crime at the US-Mexican border. Kate’s idealistic views are thwarted when the reality of the drug war sets in and she realizes that this battle against organized drug lords is more complex than she ever dreamed. As Kate and her fellow agents get closer to taking down a prime drug lord, things in this action-packed film start to develop very quickly.
