The Dark World ends with presumably two deaths: Frigga was killed as she protected Jane and Loki in the end as they battled Malekith. However as Thor returns to Asgard at the end, he declines Odin’s offer to take the throne and he informs his father about Loki’s death. As Thor leaves, he transforms into Loki, grinning at his brother.
